About The Position

Caterpillar Mapleton Seals is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented person to join our team as a Grinding Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating grinding machines to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. This role requires a high level of precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards. This role includes salary starting at $23.22/hour with periodic wage increases, healthcare insurance, employee discount programs, free employee assistance program, and more. Depending on business requirements, normal working hours will be 40 hours per week with opportunity for overtime. We also offer an additional $1.00/hour night shift premium for our 3rd shift employees!

Requirements

Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes
Good communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
Ability to work alone and with a team, managing time effectively
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Basic knowledge in reading and interpreting prints
Strong understanding of machine and manufacturing principles

Responsibilities

Set up grinders and similar machinery
Operate grinders to produce parts and components made to specific tolerances
Adjust equipment as needed and inspect finished products to ensure quality standards
Reading and understanding written directions
