Potsdam Grinding Operator
About The Position
We are looking for a full-time General Production Worker. You will be trained to operate production equipment in our glass bead manufacturing plant following the high safety, quality, and environmental standards of Potters. As part of the job, you will operate mobile equipment including forklifts and front-end loaders. You will be trained to perform in-process quality checks and recognize when equipment adjustments are required. Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance will be required. You will be expected to participate in safety programs and other employee driven projects which is part of the Potters continuous improvement philosophy. If you are an ambitious candidate that wants to learn fast and work in a manufacturing environment with longevity as a goal, you might be the right person for this job.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Computer literacy to include email use and quality check data entry.
- Attention to detail.
- Familiarity with various industrial equipment.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated safe operation of mobile equipment.
- Willing to work any shifts/hours and overtime, holidays, and weekends.
Nice To Haves
- Technical/trade school education is preferred.
