About The Position
We are seeking a Grinding Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this entry-level role, you will be responsible for cleaning, deburring, grinding, and polishing forged metal parts to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. This is a hands-on position ideal for candidates interested in manufacturing, metalworking, or skilled trades.
Requirements
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
- Ability to read and understand simple instructions and work orders
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, percentages)
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Regular use of hands and fingers for handling parts and tools
- Frequent reaching with hands and arms
- Ability to sit, with occasional standing and walking
- Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds
- Close vision and color vision required
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Entry-level experience welcome (manufacturing or industrial experience is a plus but not required)
Responsibilities
- Clean, deburr, polish, and grind forged metal parts using hand-held power tools
- Operate buffing and grinding wheels to smooth edges and surfaces
- Inspect parts for quality, surface finish, and defects
- Follow written and verbal work instructions, safety rules, and quality standards
- Handle and move parts or containers weighing up to 25 lbs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
