About The Position

The thread grinder will be responsible for producing premium quality, high precision carbide, carbide tipped and HSS cutting tools using CNC Thread grinding machines and programs. Facilitates and operates machines by programming, setup, operating machines, inspecting tools for visible flaws and correcting quality issues to ensure a consistent product. Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
5+ years of experience with CNC Grinding / Operator experience
Previous manufacturing experience is required
Experience with CNC Thread Grinding Machines is highly preferred
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift/carry products and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to bend or climb into and out of machines and stoop, bend, or kneel as required.

Nice To Haves

Certification from a qualified training institution in the field of machining is ideal but not required.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the setup and offsets as required.
Ability to accurately read blueprints.
Must be able to inspect tools for defects using quality control tools.
Responsible for accurate programming and machine operation.
Consistently evaluates the quality of the finished product coming off the CNC machine through visual inspection and the use of measurement tools.
Communicates quality issues to programmers and/or General Managers.
Pull material for up-coming jobs
Check machinery on a daily basis to ensure functionality.
