About The Position

This position involves learning, performing, and rotating between the positions of packer, scaler, styler, and grader. The goal is to maintain line speeds on any given product at the designated rate for that product.

Requirements

• Must be able to move, push or pull up to 55 pounds from table to scales at waist level.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, stand and work in a cold, wet, noisy, dusty environment for entire shift.
• This position involves repetitive motion.
• May include rotating through cold and hot areas of the plant.
• Requires standard waterproof gloves, sleeves, hearing protection, and slip resistant footwear.
• Must have the ability to make good decisions and communicate effectively with others and leadership team.

Nice To Haves

• Preference for poultry or food processing organization experience.

Responsibilities

• Works on a moving conveyor belt using both hands.
• Spreads or styles product by hand on the belt.
• Performs multiple types of packing and weighing.
• Pulls bones from product; inspects, grades and removes product that does not meet standards.
• Participates as a member of the Team, fostering strong cohesiveness and supporting team concepts, programs, and policies.
• Familiar with Simmons’ established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN) and understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity and support these systems.
• Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
