About The Position

As a Grinder in the manufacturing industry, you will play a critical role in ensuring the precision and quality of metal components used in various products. The Grinder works closely with engineering and production teams to interpret blueprints and use precision measuring tools to maintain tight tolerances. This role requires proficiency with manual grinding equipment, strong attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards. Requirements

  • Proven experience in grinding and finishing metal parts, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience working with stainless steel and other durable metals.
  • Knowledge of deburring techniques and finishing processes for high-precision components.
  • Essential skills include deburring, hand tool operation, and precision measuring to prepare and finish metal parts accurately.
  • Blueprint reading ensures components meet detailed specifications and quality standards.
  • Operating manual grinding machines requires technical proficiency and attention to detail to maintain efficiency and consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Operate manual grinders to deburr, trim, and finish metal parts according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand required dimensions and tolerances.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to verify part dimensions and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on grinding equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with quality control and production teams to identify and resolve issues related to part quality or machine operation.
  • Follow all instructions and directions provided by the Foreman to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality job performance.
