Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Able to operate jib cranes and forklifts to move and position components for optimum grinding performance
Responsibilities
- Grinding complex radii, such as runner fillets
- Upgrading surfaces to a specified surface finish
- General deburring
- Assisting fabricators and welders in making setups and in any general labor as needed
- Masking of parts in preparation for blasting and paint
- Painting (Brush or roller) / Maintenance painting
- Gather materials
- Assist Fabricators and Weld
- Basic blueprint reading
- Perform flat grinding of buckets
- Perform grinding of weld preps
- Perform under direction limited upgrade grinding of buckets
- Perform under direction limited upgrade grinding of wicket gates
- Operate jib cranes and forklifts to move and position components for optimum grinding performance
- Operate main crane, jib crane and forklifts to move and position components for optimum grinding performance
- Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly
- Keep Supervisor informed of problems regarding assigned task, schedule, safety, etc. as conditions arise
- Perform final upgrade grinding on runner to crown/ band weld radii
- Perform final upgrade grinding wicket gate final blending
- Pursues training and development opportunities; strives to continuously build knowledge and skills
- Observes safety and security procedures
- Reports potentially unsafe conditions
- Uses equipment and materials properly
- Adapts to changes in the work environment such as delays or unexpected events
- Follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; keeps commitments
- Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan
