Requirements

Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Strong math background is required
Must be able to complete production documentation paperwork accurately
Must be able to lift 40 pounds
Must be able to obtain a fork-lift license
Must be able to set up all grinders independently after proper training
Must be able to identify Critical Control Points (CCPs) and maintain all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Must be willing to learn basic computer skills such as (Word, Excel, Access etc)
Must have a very keen eye for visual inspection purposes.
Having the ability to perform an accurate daily inventory on rework.
Ability to learn all the SAP transactions associated with both positions.
Ability to accurately perform SAP transactions and processes
Based on business necessity, must be proficient in English.
Ability to pass a pre-employment, post offer drug screen, physical and background check

Responsibilities

Consistently manufacture "great tasting" sausage products according to specifications
Work together with other Members to obtain World Class blending results in safety, yields, usages, and efficiencies.
Participate in daily Tailgate meetings and project teams
Have the opportunity to think pro-actively and understand how blending effects plant flow
Set goals and objectives; both personal and as a team member to acquire "superlative" performance in order to support the Johnsonville Way
Grow, develop, and stretch yourself by continuing to find new and better ways to meet your commitments to yourself, your team and to JVL.
Create and update a Personal Development Commitment to help you set goals and focus on your accomplishments.
Have the opportunity to rotate within grinder/blender as well as other departments
Pushing and raking meat from a combo container into grinder
Pushing/Pulling wagons of meat
Blending meat for all lines
Communicating between Scheduler, Production Coordinators and Team Leaders
Operating a fork-lift
Lifting pans
Lifting bags of spice to add to meat
Washing equipment
