About The Position

Dura-Line, an Orbia Connectivity Solutions business, is a leading global manufacturer of conduit products and accessories, creating pathways that power connectivity across a wide range of markets worldwide. They are hiring for Grinder/Pelletizer Operators for both Day and Night shifts in North Salt Lake, UT, offering bi-weekly schedules that result in working only 15 days a month and every other weekend being a 3-day weekend.

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Machine Operator experience preferred.
• Ability to speak, read and write in English, Bi-Lingual is a plus.
• Ability to recognize colors.
• Basic math/measurement & reading comprehension skills.
• 6 months equipment/machine operation in manufacturing.
• Material handling equipment/forklifts.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Ability to move around obstacles and wear required PPE.
• Ability to stand and walk for 12 hours.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb, reach, squat, and bend.
• Ability to work in environments with temperature variation and noise.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Machine Operator experience preferred.
• Bi-Lingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean grinding area and dispose waste.
• Complete regrind report tags and identify reprocessed materials.
• Break down empty gaylords.
• Process scrap duct.
• Coordinate with extrusion to move materials to grinding.
• Participate in cycle counts.
• Report unsafe conditions/broken equipment.
• Participate in training, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Other production duties.
• Operate pelletizer machine to convert regrind into pellets.
• Operate Forklift consistently.
• Unload regrind boxes into pelletizer.
• Stage boxes of pellets.
• Follows all company-standard and position-specific safety requirements, and reports any unsafe working conditions or broken equipment.
• Follows and complies with all company policies and procedures.
• Additional duties as required.
