About The Position

HWI has a fantastic opportunity to join our White Cloud Plant as a Grinding Operator. The Grinding Operator is responsible for operating grinding equipment to finish refractory products to required specifications. This position inspects materials for quality, performs dimensional checks, maintains production standards, and safely operates grinding equipment while following all company safety procedures. The Grinding Operator is also responsible for maintaining a clean work area, performing basic equipment inspections, accurately completing production documentation, and working collaboratively with team members to meet production and quality goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
• Ability to read measuring devices and follow work instructions.
• Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate grinding equipment to finish refractory products to specification.
• Inspect products for quality and verify dimensions using measuring tools.
• Follow work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain production records and complete required documentation.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Assist with material handling and other production duties as assigned.
