Grinder/ Metal Finisher
About The Position
Grinders are responsible for performing class C/B grinding and finishing work on sheet metal products for secondary operations with low cosmetic visibility. Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate standard hand grinders.
- Deburr, buff, and or polish materials to specifications.
- Examines and feels surface of product for defects.
- Removal of defects, scratches, excess weld material, and burs to produce a smooth unmarred surface.
- Prepare products for secondary operations such as powder coating by achieving a Class C/B finish with low cosmetic visibility.
- Ensure that safety devices guards are operative and follow safety protocols.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
