About The Position

This role plays a critical part in the manufacturing process by ensuring that metal and other materials are finished to precise specifications and quality standards. This position involves operating grinding machines and finishing tools to smooth, shape, and polish parts, contributing directly to the overall product quality and functionality. The role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of material properties to achieve the desired surface finish and dimensional accuracy. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with production and quality teams to meet production deadlines while maintaining safety and efficiency. Ultimately, this role ensures that finished components meet both customer expectations and internal quality benchmarks, supporting the company’s reputation for excellence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience operating grinding or finishing machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in machining, grinding, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with CNC grinding machines and automated finishing equipment.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain grinding and finishing equipment to process parts according to specifications.
  • Inspect parts for surface finish, dimensional accuracy, and defects using precision measuring tools.
  • Adjust machine settings and tooling to achieve optimal finish and meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with production and quality control teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and performing routine equipment maintenance.
