We’re hiring a First Shift Grinder Machinists to support our growing team. If you enjoy high-precision work, problem-solving, and working in a clean, climate-controlled shop, this could be a great fit. First shift runs Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. In this role, you’ll be hands-on and trusted to own your work. You’ll set up and operate CNC and conventional grinding machines (ID, OD, and surface), working on both standard and non-standard parts with tight tolerances. You’ll read and interpret blueprints and GD&T, inspect your own work using precision measuring tools, and determine inspection methods with or without fixtures. You’ll monitor machine performance, troubleshoot as needed, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to solve problems and improve processes. This isn’t a “push the button and walk away” job—you’ll be actively involved in maintaining quality, hitting production goals, and participating in continuous improvement efforts like 5S and Kaizen. There are also opportunities to help train others and share your knowledge across the team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–4+ years of machining experience, ideally with grinding
  • Experience with CNC and/or conventional machines
  • Strong machining foundation and the right mindset
  • Strong blueprint reading skills, including GD&T
  • Ability to use precision inspection tools
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Basic programming knowledge
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
  • Attention to detail
  • Solid math skills
  • Team-first attitude with pride in work
