About The Position

We are looking for team members who are passionate about craft beer, love interacting with people, and want to help us deliver an unforgettable taproom experience. We are looking for a skilled Grill Cook who will be responsible for preparing and cooking various grilled food. In this role, you will be expected to follow recipes and cooking instructions, maintain a clean and organized kitchen, and ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a line cook, grill cook, or prep cook in a fast-paced kitchen is preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, work comfortably in a hot kitchen environment around grills and ovens, and lift or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Strong knife skills, basic knowledge of cooking temperatures/meat safety, and the ability to multitask.
  • Dependable, punctual, and a team player.
  • A passion for great food and the local craft beer scene is a huge plus!
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-first mindset.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by taproom traffic.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, stock, and maintain the grill and line stations with all necessary ingredients and prep items before the shift begins.
  • Grill, fry, smoke, cook, and portion food items to recipe specifications and quality standards.
  • Cook and plate orders efficiently to ensure a smooth flow of food from the kitchen to the taproom, especially during busy weekend crowds and live music events.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team, including cross-training on other line positions (such as the pizza/oven station) and prep work as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace.
  • Strictly adhere to local health department regulations regarding food handling, storage temperatures, and equipment sanitation.
  • Assist with opening/closing duties, including breaking down the line, cleaning kitchen equipment, washing dishes/pots when needed, sweeping/mopping floors, and handling trash disposal.
  • Communicate clearly and positively with front-of-house servers and fellow kitchen staff to resolve ticket issues quickly and keep the energy up.
