GRILL COOK (WOK STATION) (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Grill Cook prepares food and serves customers at the grill station in accordance with applicable federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations. The role supports high-quality food service by preparing orders, serving customers, maintaining food quality and temperature, and following established recipes, portion standards, safety practices, and sanitation procedures. The position is full-time, located at 700 East Middlefield Road, Mountain View, California. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, with hours that may vary; additional details are provided during the interview. The pay range is $27.80 to $28.63 per hour.
Requirements
- One year of supervisory line cooking experience is required.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Take customer orders and prepare items requiring short preparation; complete orders from steam tables and serve customers at multiple stations.
- Serve customers efficiently and in a friendly manner while following established service steps and standards.
- Ensure food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty; taste prepared food items.
- Use established ticket-collection procedures during service and maintain records for the area worked.
- Follow approved recipes and production standards to maintain quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
- Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food between workstations, the stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
- Store food in designated areas using required wrapping, dating, food-safety, and rotation procedures.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils to meet sanitation standards.
- Resolve customer concerns and report relevant information and concerns to the supervisor.
- Attend in-service and safety meetings.
- Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
- Perform work safely and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
