About The Position
Currently seeking team members who are passionate about building lasting vacation memories for owners/guests visiting our resort properties! Are you someone who is service oriented, courteous, poses basic cooking and safety regulations knowledge with a strong foods safety knowledge? Join the team at Eilan Hotel and Spa as a Full Time Grill Cook. The Eilan Resort & Spa is a Hilton Grand Vacations property in Northwest San Antonio, near The Rim and La Cantera, featuring a Tuscan‑inspired design completed in 2011 and offering 165 guestrooms. It is a central element of the 120‑acre Eilan mixed‑use development, integrating lodging with offices, residences, retail, dining, and shared community amenities. The resort features a full‑service spa with 10 treatment rooms, approximately 14,000 square feet of flexible event space, and multiple food and beverage outlets including the Social restaurant serving breakfast and dinner, the Mercato coffee shop, and a seasonal pool bar.
Requirements
- 1-2 years previous culinary experience to include grill and cold prep
- High School / GED
- Great collaboration skills and attention to detail
Nice To Haves
- Current food safety certification
Responsibilities
- Prepare foods according to specs and stock and keep kitchen and all areas clean.
- Assure that food area is keep clean and it is stored properly at the end of each shift according to health specifications.
- Ensure that food items are ticketed and dated with employee name to ensure freshness and that stocked items are received and accounted for.
- Assist in all areas of the Kitchen. Wash all work areas including refrigerator and utensils used and keep trash and boxes broken down and remove to proper area.
- Assure all food is rotated and labeled with date, time and employee name.
- Stock all foods in cooler and proper shelves to meet department of health regulations. Record and report all loss food due to spoiling and over production.
- Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established and revised by HGVC from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
- Carries out all reasonable requests by management.
