About The Position

GE Vernova is seeking a motivated Entry Level GridOS DMS Project Engineer with a passion for technology in cloud and container technologies to join our Grid Software Solutions team. In this role, you will support the deployment, configuration, and integration of GridOS Distribution Management System. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will support utility customers in modernizing distribution grid operations through scalable, cloud-native solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
0–2 years of experience; relevant internships or co-ops.
Basic understanding of electric distribution systems and grid fundamentals.
Exposure to cloud computing concepts (AWS or similar).
Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

Assist in end-to-end delivery of GridOS DMS implementations including design, configuration, testing, and go-live support.
Support the configuration of core DMS applications, including: FLISR (Fault Location, Isolation & Service Restoration), Volt/VAR Optimization (VVO), Outage Management System (OMS) integration, Load Forecasting & Switch Order Management.
Support the deployment of GridOS DMS microservices on Kubernetes.
Assist with cluster configuration, workload management, and monitoring.
Help maintain Helm charts, deployment manifests, and container images.
Execute Factory Acceptance Testing/Site Acceptance Testing.
Troubleshoot application and service issues.
Support CI/CD for software deployments and pipeline integration for GridOS.
Assist with provisioning, infrastructure setup, and managing AWS services including: EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM.
