About The Position

Alliant Energy is seeking to build its Grid Operations team and is hiring at multiple levels, from early-career engineers to seasoned grid operations leaders. This position can be hired as an Engineer I, Engineer II, or Engineer III Grid Operations, depending on the candidate's experience. The role involves designing the grid of tomorrow and progressing through developmental stages in safety, customer focus, communication, technical application, financial management, system operations, system analysis, and reliability. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in an accredited Engineering program (for Engineer I, II, and III)
  • Engineer III Grid Operations: 5 years of related experience
  • Engineer II Grid Operations: 2 years of related experience
  • Engineer I Grid Operations: Bachelor's Degree in an accredited Engineering program
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management).
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

  • Leads root cause analysis and drives reliability improvements.
