About The Position

The Greeter performs customer-service and front-end duties, including welcoming customers promptly and courteously, handling merchandise with care, providing information and directions, distributing promotional materials, and supporting store business needs. Greeters are expected to be friendly and outgoing and to provide an excellent customer experience that makes guests feel welcomed and appreciated. The role includes greeting customers, promoting programs, checking in returned merchandise and vendor representatives, informing customers about store events and promotions, and keeping the entryway and surrounding work area clean, tidy, and safe. Greeters assist with firearm or weapon check-in by contacting a trained, designated Outfitter; Greeters must never accept, possess, or handle firearms while performing their duties. The position works under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in a customer service environment.
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt to new processes and procedures.
Excellent self-motivation and initiative while unsupervised.

Responsibilities

Greet all customers as they enter the store in a friendly and outgoing manner.
Promote programs including CLUB Membership (US only), VOC, and In-Store Pickup.
Model the company’s customer-service standards and dress code, including wearing the appropriate logo shirt and visible name badge, and maintaining a professional appearance and welcoming demeanor.
Check in customers’ merchandise for return.
Check in vendor representatives, complete visitor log information, and control visitor badges.
Stay informed about special events and communicate event, sale, and promotion details to customers; provide promotional materials.
Keep the entryway and surrounding work area clean, tidy, and safe for customers and Outfitters.
Assist with firearm and weapon check-in by notifying the appropriate trained and designated Outfitter, following company SOP; do not accept, possess, or handle firearms.
Perform other duties as assigned.
