About The Position

EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency, is seeking a dedicated part-time Greeter/Administrative Assistant for its new program, Nassau Family Resource Center. This role is the first point of contact at the FRC, responsible for creating a welcoming environment for families. The position supports daily operations through participant engagement, program activities, childcare, and administrative tasks such as data entry and coordination.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or educational equivalent preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Minimum of one year of prior office work experience required
  • Not for Profit or criminal justice agency experience preferred
  • Proficient in office and computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar program, and e-mail and/or database software skills necessary to perform job responsibilities
  • General office skills required including a pleasant phone manner and good organizational and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet families to the FRC
  • Assist with participant sign-in and attendance tracking
  • Co-facilitate parent-child activities and open play times
  • Provide childcare support during workshops
  • Assist with outreach and promotional activities
  • Support data entry and filing
  • Answer, screen and direct phone calls, and perform receptionist functions
  • Perform typing and general office duties
  • Order and maintain inventory of office supplies
  • Schedule appointments
