The Greenskeeper (under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent or foreman) performs routine manual labor involved in and/or related to Golf Course maintenance. This role involves semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance work. The Greenskeeper must be able to operate small hand-powered equipment and occasionally perform work involving larger equipment/machines such as Tractors, Fairway Units, Triplex Mowers, and Walking Mowers. The position also requires developing a culture based on mutual respect, clear expectations, and the ability to grow and develop, as measured by turnover rates. Effective communication with guests and team members is essential, as is ensuring a safe work environment for oneself and others by following safety rules. The Greenskeeper will also maintain ball washers and related supplies, and maintain fuel and fluid levels of equipment.
