About The Position

As a Greenskeeper I, you will ensure the day-to-day care, maintenance, and renovation of the golf course and surrounding grounds so they remain in quality condition. The role involves operating golf course maintenance equipment, carrying out routine course-care tasks, assisting with renovations, and performing other maintenance duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• 0–3 years of experience in landscaping or golf course maintenance.
• Basic understanding of lawn-care equipment operation and safety procedures.
• Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to operate motorized equipment.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds frequently.
• Ability to walk 3–5 miles per day.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical work daily, including frequent handling, reaching, lifting, carrying, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, and balancing.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold and all forms of precipitation.

Responsibilities

• Operate golf course maintenance equipment, including walk-behind and riding mowers, trimmers, edgers, weed eaters, and blowers.
• Change tee markers, cut cups, repair ball marks on greens, and repair divots on tees and fairways.
• Rake and edge bunkers; top-dress greens and tees; edge cart paths; remove weeds; and gather debris from the golf course.
• Participate in course renovations, including laying or removing sod, grass sprigging, trench excavation, tree and brush removal, and operating hand tools.
• Help clean course bathrooms, empty trash, and refill water coolers.
• Perform golf course maintenance duties assigned by management.
