About The Position

Artie’s Café is looking for a few caring adults to join our Green Helping Hands Team! These valued team members will work alongside our cafeteria crew to help create a positive, welcoming, and supportive lunch experience for our students. Green Helping Hands members will provide extra support during meal service by assisting students, encouraging positive interactions, and helping our cafeterias continue to run smoothly. This is a great opportunity for parents, grandparents, and community members who enjoy working with students and want to make a difference during the school day. Green Helping Hands team members will be a part of our Food Service Team listed as F-4 / temp position / hourly rate will be 14.00 with a 2 hour minimum shift. Whether you can help once a week or more often, your time and presence can make a meaningful impact. F-4 Substitute employees are utilized to cover Food Service positions within the MSD of Martinsville. Employees are not guaranteed any number of hours or days. This position is strictly on an “on call” basis.

Requirements

Be able to commit to at least 4 days per month
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and interpret documents
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Ability to lift, carry and/or move thirty (30) to (50) pounds
Ability to pick, pinch, or otherwise work with fingers without restrictions
Ability to sit, stand, walk, go up and down stairs from two to three hours
Must keep reachable number on file with department at all time and return calls within 24 hours
