About The Position

The Route Driver is responsible for the operation of a collection truck to collect product from our customers while providing quality service. This role involves operating a commercial vehicle, maintaining customer relations, and completing necessary paperwork.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 21 years old with a clean MVR.
Current CDL A license holder with tanker endorsements.
Must be registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/

Prior route experience within a customer-oriented environment.
Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
Dependable and reliable.
Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
Good math and communication skills.
Knowledge of safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle and general maintenance.

Responsibilities

Pump or load grease containers, ensuring cleanliness of the container and surrounding area.
Return containers with screen and lock secured, noting any damages to the container or corral area.
Properly complete route tickets with customer signatures.
Be responsible for the established route as assigned.
Maintain the company vehicle in clean condition.
Conduct all safety checks and inspections of the vehicle.
Operate the vehicle in accordance with state, federal, and local regulations, as well as company policy and procedures.
Observe all company safety rules.
Attend all safety meetings and potentially serve on the Safety Committee.
Maintain excellent customer relations through professional appearance and attitude.
Complete all company-required paperwork, including route tickets, driver vehicle inspection reports, accident reports, mileage reports, and service forms.
Maintain and update the vehicle condition report on a daily basis.
