About The Position

The Route Driver is responsible for operation of a collection truck to collect product from our customers while providing quality service. This role involves operating a collection truck, ensuring the cleanliness and proper handling of grease containers, and maintaining excellent customer relations. The driver is also responsible for the upkeep and safe operation of the company vehicle and completing all required paperwork.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years old with clean MVR.
• Current CDL A license holder with tanker endorsements.
• Must be registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/

• Prior route experience within a customer oriented environment preferred.
• Works well with others in a team environment.
• Dependable; reliable; ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
• Good math and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle and general maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Pump or load grease containers; ensure cleanliness of container and surrounding area; returns container with screen and lock secured; notes any damages to container or corral area; properly completes route ticket with customer signature.
• Responsible for established route as assigned.
• Responsible for company vehicle; keeps vehicle in clean condition.
• Conducts all safety checks and inspections of vehicle; operates vehicle under state, federal, local regulations and in accordance with company policy and procedures; observes all company safety rules.
• Attendance at all safety meetings required; may be asked to serve on Safety Committee.
• Maintain excellent customer relations by presenting professional appearance and attitude.
• Responsible for completing all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies (route tickets, driver vehicle inspection reports, accident reports, mileage reports, service forms, etc.).
• Maintain and update vehicle condition report on a daily basis.
• All other duties as assigned.
