Gravy Room Operator 2nd Shift
About The Position
This role is responsible for operating the gravy machine, including mixing the gravy solution, setting up and tearing down the machine, and making necessary adjustments. The position also involves general plant duties such as taking out garbage, hauling cardboard, and completing paperwork. Additionally, the operator will be responsible for obtaining a pallet jack and forklift license within the first two weeks of employment. The working environment is a plant with temperatures around 40°F, and may involve exposure to natural byproducts of processing. Majority of roles involve repetitive movements such as twisting, turning, reaching, and pulling, require standing on concrete floors or workstation platforms for 8 to 10 hours, and the ability to lift to 35 pounds.
Requirements
- Able to read and write English
- Able to lift 50-pound bags of ingredients
- Basic math skills are a must
- Able to use ladders safely
- Flexible with start times of work as they may vary with production needs
- Able to keep area organized and clean
- Able to do light maintenance
- Able to work independently
- Willingness to help in other areas when there is no gravy to make
- Must be 18 years of age or older
