About The Position

The Graveyard Grocery Stocker helps maintain the quality, freshness, product assortment, and inventory levels of the store’s grocery department. The role receives, stores, stocks, rotates, and faces products; removes out-of-date items; supports special orders and product displays; and provides excellent customer service. The associate works with store associates, customers, and vendors and may assist the Grocery Manager with ordering based on past and projected sales. The position is performed in a generally safe and comfortable store environment, with possible frequent exposure to cold, hot, slippery, and wet conditions. It requires standing, walking, and bending throughout the workday, handling repetitive tasks, and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

High school diploma or GED, or a combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures.
Ensure the quality and freshness of grocery department products and services.
Maintain appropriate grocery product assortment and inventory levels.
Confirm pricing accuracy and product signage, especially for advertised items.
Help ensure the store is cleaned daily and meets company appearance standards.
Deliver excellent customer service.
Receive, store, and stock a wide variety of grocery products.
Rotate products and remove out-of-date products from shelves.
Build end-cap and other special product displays.
Assist the Grocery Manager with ordering products based on past and projected sales.
Complete assigned tasks efficiently and on time.
Set a professional and positive example for others.
Assist as needed to support the success of the store.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
