Graphics Production Assistant
About The Position
Our Graphics Department plays a key role in supporting our statewide sales team by producing a wide variety of high-quality marketing materials. From large-format signage to printed collateral, we take pride in delivering accurate, timely, and impactful products. We are currently seeking a Production Assistant to support our Graphics Department. This is a full-time, temporary role for approximately 60 to 90 days. Success in this role requires attention to detail, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to meeting production deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality. In this role, you will assist our Print Production Lead with finishing duties on both large and small format print projects. Responsibilities include laminating, trimming, grommeting, folding, scoring, collating, and preparing completed jobs for shipment. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a summer or short-term position, a candidate interested in gaining hands-on experience, or curious about a career in the print and graphics industry. You'll work alongside an experienced production team, learn industry equipment and finishing techniques, and gain valuable exposure to commercial print production. This is an on-site role, based out of our Lenexa office.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Sharp eye to detail and quality.
- Possess a positive attitude.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. with assistance on an occasional basis.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with large format and digital printing.
- Pre-press software experience.
- Some college coursework or experience in graphic design, print production, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a print shop, sign shop, or digital print production environment is preferred but not required.
