About The Position

TC Transcontinental is seeking a Graphic Production Artist for a 12-month contract position. This role involves generating, formatting, and assembling electronic layouts for both print and digital media. The Graphic Production Artist will be responsible for creating flyers and Point of Purchase (POP) materials that help retailers reach their target consumers. The position requires a strong foundation in computer graphics and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications. This is a replacement position due to an internal transfer. The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $56,000 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity.

Requirements

• Degree (or work experience equivalent) in computer graphics, design and print production.
• 3-5 years experience as a Graphic Layout/Production Artist and Designers.
• Strong knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
• Solid understanding of the Mac Operating System (OSX).
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to perform under pressure and demonstrated leadership skills, working well within a team environment.
• Detail-oriented.

Nice To Haves

• Retail Flyer Graphic Production experience.
• French language skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate, format, and assemble electronic layouts for print and digital media in both English and French.
• Produce flyers and POPs that help retailers reach their target consumers.
• Oversee electronic layout of print media, determining elements required for page layout.
• Determine text, artwork, colors, file types, and formats to produce flyers and/or POPs aligned with customer requirements and Company standards.
• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite Applications.
• Input required graphic elements such as artwork, copy, etc.
• Produce templates for page layouts in collaboration with the design team.
• Ensure projects are created to specification and produce proofs for approval.
• Format all files to print and digital standards.
• Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.
