About The Position
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Temp Graphic Producer to join our news team. The ideal candidate will design, produce, and manage on-air and digital graphics that enhance storytelling, engage viewers, and support newsroom initiatives. This role requires a strong mix of technical skills, design expertise, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced news environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Journalism, or related field.
- Proven experience in broadcast graphics, motion design, or digital media production.
- Strong knowledge of design software (Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, etc.).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a 24/7 news environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with newsroom graphics platforms (e.g., Vizrt, Chyron, Ross Xpression) preferred.
- Understanding of newsroom workflows and broadcast journalism standards.
- Ability to create compelling data visualizations and interactive graphics.
- Familiarity with social media content production and optimization.
Responsibilities
- Create and produce broadcast-quality graphics, animations, and visual elements for live and pre-recorded news segments.
- Collaborate with producers, reporters, and digital teams to develop visually compelling stories.
- Design interactive graphics, infographics, charts, and social media visuals to support news coverage.
- Operate and manage graphics systems such as Vizrt, Chyron, or Adobe Creative Suite during live broadcasts.
- Ensure consistency of visual style, brand standards, and accuracy of information across all graphics.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict newsroom deadlines.
- Maintain an organized library of graphics, templates, and media assets.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in visual storytelling, news graphics, and motion design.
