About The Position

The Richmond SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to animal welfare, aiming to create a community committed to saving, protecting, and enriching animal lives. They are seeking a part-time graphic designer to join their Advancement Department. This role will contribute to fundraising, communications, and marketing activities by creating visually engaging assets for various platforms and brand materials. The ideal candidate will possess strong design skills, a deadline-driven approach, and the ability to work within the established brand identity. This position offers schedule flexibility, including potential remote work, promoting a good work-life balance.

  • Experience with web platforms and content management systems (Wordpress, Virtuous) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual arts, marketing, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in graphic design.

  • Photography skills a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a range of design projects, including event materials, print collateral, newsletters, presentations, and social media graphics, ensuring they meet brand standards.
  • Design email marketing content within CRM platforms, utilizing existing templates and creating original designs.
  • Manage multiple design requests simultaneously, prioritizing workload to meet deadlines across editorial and campaign calendars.
  • Revise designs based on feedback and prepare final files for printing or publication.
  • Assist with design-related updates to the Richmond SPCA website.
  • Gather and organize images to maintain the media library.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all design work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
