About The Position

AdFarm is seeking a Graphic Designer to join their team. This role involves creating engaging and effective design solutions for a range of clients across various mediums. While much of the work will involve executing within existing brands, there will be opportunities to support new brand and conceptual development. The Graphic Designer will be the primary "maker" of projects, responsible for design and proofreading/editing. The company emphasizes agility, smart problem-solving, and helpfulness in its employees, driving the evolution of agriculture through strategic planning, creative services, public relations, media planning, marketing science, content creation, and research. They partner with a variety of brands in the agriculture sector, including crop protection, nutrition, seed, technology, sustainability, food, and animal health.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience or certifications will be considered
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); experience with Figma or Sketch is a plus
  • Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, color theory, layout, and composition
  • Demonstrated ability to create visually compelling designs across digital and print media
  • Solid portfolio showcasing creative work, design process, and attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of web design and user experience (UX/UI) principles preferred
  • A strong portfolio
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • The willingness to note relevant trends and develop ideas.
  • Team player and a critical thinker
  • Demonstrate a growing mastery of core Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Figma

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of additional software (Premier, XD, After Effects) or disciplines such as illustration, photography or animation an asset
  • Willing to learn additional software as needed

Responsibilities

  • Design creative deliverables to help the client tell their story
  • Version out marketing assets based on existing posters, web/print ads, etc.
  • Create and update marketing collateral (ie, campaigns, print materials, web/print ads, trade-show collateral, social media images, promotional items, business cards, mobile app pages, e-mail blasts, logos, website designs, and storyboards)
  • Align work to brand standards by working closely with team leads (creative director, creative team, account managers)
  • Design and deliver high-quality graphics optimized for video/web/social media
  • Create sketches, artwork, or illustrations
  • Maintain files according to AdFarm processes and structure
