About The Position

Responsible for producing creative visual design for marketing materials in multiple mediums to support the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) and the CuraCor family of companies. As a Graphic Designer on the Blue Cross NC Marketing Creative team, you will work with your team of designers, writers, and project managers to create marketing communications for our various business segments. You’ll have daily touchpoints with the team to assess and prioritize the workload as well as work independently to develop and produce graphic designs and layouts for publications and communications vehicles such as sales materials, collateral materials, corporate graphics, and multidimensional displays or exhibits. Please make sure your resume or candidate profile includes a link to your online portfolio. The portfolio will need to show samples of print design, digital design, and logo creation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)
  • 3+ years of experience in related field. In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce graphic design for communications such as sales materials, publications, collateral materials, corporate graphics, multidimensional displays, exhibits, or events.
  • Develop and produce graphic design for electronic and interactive communication such as web banners, email, presentations, and social media.
  • Ensure all materials follow the strict guidelines found in the company Brand Guidelines documents for Blue Cross NC and the CuraCor family of companies.
  • Assist with consulting internal business partners when determining their needs and input.
  • Collaborate with the other members of the project team to determine appropriate design elements of the project.
  • Prepare artwork for approval and final distribution.
  • Make changes as requested.
  • Flex between design styles for different brands, different audiences, and different tones of voice.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail like kerning, spacing, and visual hierarchy.
