About The Position

Cap America is seeking a Graphic Designer to process all art associated with orders. This role involves managing design requests and completing them in a timely manner, as well as designing conceptual headwear for overseas or domestic production based on customer requests. The Graphic Designer will communicate with fellow staff members to ensure customer needs are met, confer with clients to discuss and determine layout design, and create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on layout principles and aesthetic design concepts. This position requires the use of computer software to generate designs and responding to customer inquiries to understand their needs. Other duties may be requested as needed.

Requirements

Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and/or Adobe Photoshop or the desire to learn.
Artistic ability.
Basic fundamental understanding of design and color theory.
Ability to work closely with other people.
Punctuality.

Ability to answer a high volume of calls and/or emails daily.
Attentiveness and patience.
Time-management skills.

Responsibilities

Process all art associated with orders.
Manage design requests and complete them in a timely manner.
Design conceptual headwear for overseas or domestic production per customer request.
Communicate with fellow staff members to ensure customer’s needs are met.
Confer with clients to discuss and determine layout design.
Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts, based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts.
Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations and company logos.
Use computer software to generate designs.
Respond to all inquiries from customers to understand clearly what type of direction is needed.
Perform other duties as requested.
