Graphic Designer

SerhantNew York, NY
$80,000 - $85,000Hybrid

About The Position

SERHANT. ID Lab is looking for a designer who can build the identity of a building from the ground up and then stand in front of a developer and sell it. New development branding is where design meets real money: a building’s identity has to carry a price point, hold up across a two- to three-year sales cycle, and convince a buyer before a single unit is finished. The ideal candidate has a refined luxury sensibility, tells a story through design rather than decorating around one, presents with confidence in front of clients, and has the technical range to take a brand from concept through print, environmental, and digital. This is not an agency role. ID Lab runs on a systemized production model - templated asset frameworks, brand kits, a structured intake and review pipeline in ClickUp, AI tooling woven into the process, and in-house film, floor plan, and web resources - built so designers spend their time on thinking and craft rather than rebuilding the same deliverable from scratch. You will carry several buildings at different stages at once and move at a pace an outside agency cannot. If you would rather ship excellent work in weeks than perfect work in quarters, you will do well here.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communication design, or a related field
  • 4–6 years of experience as a designer in brand identity and marketing, with substantive work in a luxury category - real estate, hospitality, fashion, spirits, automotive, or comparable
  • Real estate marketing experience - new development, luxury residential, or comparable - clearly demonstrated in your portfolio
  • A portfolio link included in your resume, showing complete identity systems rather than individual assets, with editorial-quality print work
  • Direct client-facing experience presenting your own work to the people paying for it
  • Print production fluency: prepress, stock, finishes, binding, large-format and environmental specifications
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools within the creative process - be prepared to walk us through how and where you use them
  • Availability for occasional travel to new development sites within New York City
  • Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat
  • Figma, including website design and developer-ready handoff
  • Website builders (i.e. Squarespace, Webflow or similar)
  • Project management software (i.e. ClickUp or similar)
  • Email marketing platforms (i.e. Mailchimp or similar)

Nice To Haves

  • Ground-up new development or sales gallery experience specifically
  • Canva brand kits and templated design systems operating at scale
  • Working knowledge of construction and development timelines and how creative deliverables sequence against them

Responsibilities

  • Developing full brand identities for new development projects - naming support, logo systems, typography, color, and the brand guidelines that keep an identity intact across a multi-year sell-out
  • Translating a developer’s vision, the architecture, and the neighborhood into a story a buyer can feel, and carrying that story consistently from pitch deck to brochure to construction barricade to sales gallery to website
  • Presenting concepts directly to developers, sponsors, and internal stakeholders - framing the rationale, defending the creative, absorbing feedback, and returning with the next round quickly
  • Designing the full new development collateral suite (materials include but are not limited to: pitch and RFP materials, brochures, floor plan books, e-blasts, social graphics, signage and construction barricades, print advertising, and presentation decks)
  • Designing floor plan presentations for print and web - floor plan production itself is handled by a dedicated contractor
  • Designing new development websites in Figma and handing off developer-ready files to internal and external web partners, then reviewing builds for brand and design fidelity
  • Using AI tools to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production
  • Working within and improving ID Lab’s templates, brand kits, and asset libraries so every project starts further along than the last one
  • Ensuring brand consistency across concurrent projects without letting any two buildings look alike
  • Coordinating with the New Development project management team, agents, and third-party vendors including printers, fabricators, photographers, and web developers
  • Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Keeping up to date with luxury, hospitality, fashion, and architectural design - the reference set for this work sits largely outside real estate

Benefits

  • medical, dental and vision insurance
  • paid time off and paid holidays
  • retirement benefits
  • other company-sponsored benefits
