About The Position

The Designer works on client graphic design projects within the Creative Group at Fuse. This role involves collaboration with Fuse project teams and clients to create high-quality visuals and artwork that aligns with our clients’ brand objectives and marketing goals. They are effective in taking direction from stakeholders and translating it to successful creative deliverables. They balance these abilities with the technical skills to work through all project phases, including the final outputting and production mechanical process. Fuse specializes in youth marketing and sports culture. This individual has a passion for these industry categories and a desire to push thinking and content strategy in the platforms, brand positioning and target audiences of these areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 3-6 years of professional design experience in a creative agency, marketing team, or in-house studio, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of digital, experiential, campaign and print work.
  • Strong comprehension of design principals (typography and layout), visual storytelling and ability to work in a diverse range of styles and techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and digital collaboration tools.
  • Experience with file and data management workflows and processes.
  • Experience designing across digital (social media, websites, ads, email marketing) and print media (brochures, packaging, etc).
  • Experience working with brand identities and guidelines, ensuring cohesive and high-quality design delivery across a wide variety of media and marketing channels.
  • High attention to detail and precision, ensuring that every design is executed flawlessly and with purpose.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create compelling designs across a wide variety of print and digital mediums, channels and deliverable types.
  • Collaborate across the Creative studio, contributing to projects big and small alongside all team members.
  • Attend client kick-off meetings, review project briefs and work across Fuse teams to develop design projects.
  • Contribute references and initial direction to ensure stakeholder alignment at the beginning of projects.
  • Execute design options for review through multiple rounds of internal and client feedback.
  • Present creative work, providing notes on creative background, design decision-making process and justification for aesthetic choices.
  • Work with internal team members to capture client feedback.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Uphold professional standards in written and verbal communications.
  • Create production mechanical files, or export digital files, once creative is approved.
  • Review proofs and provide direction to production vendors as needed.
  • Maintain Fuse Creative Team file workflow throughout project, keeping files, project folders and the server organized.
  • Maintain expert-level proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Figma, with a strong understanding of the broader Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Explore tools such as SketchUp, motion graphics, and digital ad animation to expand creative capabilities.
  • Stay ahead of design and technology trends to continuously elevate the team’s creative output.
  • Travel occasionally for client meetings and events as needed.
  • Support event setup and execution, which may include light physical activity such as lifting or moving materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
