About The Position

Wag! and maxbone are building the next generation of pet brands, bringing together great design, modern culture, and better products and services for pets and their people. We believe pet brands don't have to look like pet brands. We approach everything through a more elevated, contemporary lens: from product and packaging to campaigns, social, retail, and the everyday moments in between. We're looking for a Graphic Designer with a sharp eye, strong point of view, and a genuine obsession with great design to help bring our brands to life across every touchpoint. This is a hands-on role for someone who can move quickly without sacrificing taste. You’ll work across brand campaigns, paid media, social, email, retail, packaging, presentations, partnerships, and everything in between. One day might be a campaign concept; the next, a paid social iteration, retail asset, email, or deck that needs to ship that afternoon. This role is full-time and in-person 5x a week in our downtown Miami office. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire. This position is not eligible for current or future employment visa sponsorship. We will only consider applicants that provide links to portfolios, Instagram, and/or websites showcasing their work.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally within consumer brands, fashion, beauty, wellness, food & beverage, lifestyle, CPG, or other design-forward categories
• A strong portfolio is required. We want to see your taste, range, and ability to turn an idea into compelling creative
• Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Ability to work in-person 5x a week in our downtown Miami office

Nice To Haves

• Experience with After Effects and/or other motion tools is a strong plus
• Comfortable designing for both digital and physical environments
• Strong understanding of typography, composition, color, layout, image selection, and visual hierarchy
• Ability to work within an established brand system while knowing when to push it forward
• Comfortable creating work across many formats and dimensions without losing the core creative idea
• Understanding of social and paid media creative best practices
• Able to move quickly, take feedback, and turn around polished work without needing excessive direction
• Curious, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain the thinking behind your work
• Interest in consumer marketplaces, two-sided platforms, and/or pet/consumer wellness

Responsibilities

• Concept and design across campaigns, paid media, social, email, web, retail, packaging, presentations, partnerships, experiential, and other consumer-facing touchpoints
• Develop creative from concept through final execution, maintaining a high level of craft and consistency
• Translate creative briefs, marketing objectives, and business needs into strong visual concepts
• Create both static and motion assets for paid social, organic social, digital campaigns, and other channels
• Work closely with the marketing, growth, social, partnerships, and content teams to bring campaigns to life
• Design for performance: understanding how creative, messaging, hierarchy, and format can influence CTR, CVR, engagement, and ROAS
• Bring strong visual thinking to everything from a TikTok thumbnail to a major brand campaign
• Support product launches, seasonal moments, collaborations, events, retail initiatives, and new business opportunities
• Help maintain and evolve brand guidelines, templates, design systems, and visual standards
• Collaborate with photographers, videographers, copywriters, marketers, and external creative partners
• Stay current on culture, fashion, design, social trends, emerging creative formats, and what is visually resonating with consumers
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while knowing how to prioritize what matters most
• Bring ideas proactively, not just execute what’s already been decided
