About The Position

Sid Lee is a multidisciplinary creative collective striving to make a difference and celebrating culture with bold ideas. Over 300 artisans work as one team from offices in Montreal, Toronto, New York, Paris, London, and San Francisco. They strive to break the ordinary through brand building, brand expression and brand experience. Its creative community also includes Yard, Digital Kitchen, Sid Lee Sport, Sid Lee Architecture, and Haigo. Alongside daring clients, Sid Lee draws on its rich collection of disciplines: from craft to culture and innovation, empowering its clients to outperform their competitors, earn the trust of their customers, and increase their influence. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role in a creative agency or design studio.
  • Ability to think across different mediums: 2D, 3D, motion, etc.
  • Strong understanding of typography in a digital and print environment.
  • Experience developing visual identities.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Keynote.
  • Working knowledge of at least one of the skills below: Figma, Motion design, 3D rendering, Designing with code-based languages (e.g. pProcessing), UX/UI, Interaction design, Typeface design
  • Fluency in spoken and written French is required. Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, to work with national and international clients and colleagues is also required.
  • Knowledge of the local market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative identities for a wide array of brands and clients.
  • Develop design projects and creative concepts, and provide clear direction and rationale based on the brief.
  • Work together with other creatives, strategists and account services.
  • Participate in all stages of the design process.
  • Be resourceful, quick, and able to collaborate at all levels.
  • Conduct research and analysis in support of senior team leads/strategists.
  • Present ideas (written, verbally, and visually) to peers, seniors and clients.
  • Provide direction for various media (VO talent, photography, film/OLV and animation/motion, social content, or external partners, as applicable), in collaboration with senior creative leadership.
  • Proactively contribute to the evolution of Sid Lee’s creative product and process.
