Graphic Designer

Rydell Chevrolet GMC CadillacGrand Forks, ND
Onsite

About The Position

Rydell is hiring a full-time production-focused Graphic Designer to develop high‑quality, visually compelling designs across a range of digital and print platforms. This is a hands-on execution role — you'll take finalized creative briefs and turn them into polished, on-brand assets quickly and consistently. You'll own the day-to-day production of ads, layouts, and in-house marketing material. This role requires a strong foundation in graphic design principles, proficiency with industry‑standard tools, and the ability to translate marketing strategies into engaging visual content.

Requirements

  • Diploma, degree, or equivalent professional experience in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of relevant design experience
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Competency in Adobe Premiere for video editing and in-video typesetting
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Firefly and Adobe's in-app generative tools.
  • Ability to use AI assisted coding agents in basic front-end development.
  • Able to use AI to move faster in production: extending backgrounds, cleaning up and retouching images, generating variations, and building quick mockups
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Clean file hygiene: organized layers, tidy handoff files, and adherence to folder structures
  • Familiarity with brand standards
  • Experience creating both digital and print materials
  • Translating a creative brief into effective visual content
  • Willingness to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Figma for website, landing page, and UI design preferred
  • Judgment to keep AI as a behind-the-scenes accelerator — final work should look polished and intentional, never obviously AI-generated

Responsibilities

  • Produce a high volume of design assets across digital and print platforms: dealership promotions and sale events, online and social ads, email and web banners, signage, direct mail, branded materials, etc.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all visual touchpoints (websites, signage, packaging, ads, etc.)
  • Build multi-page layouts and brand collateral (brochures, magazine spreads, posters, etc.) in Adobe InDesign
  • Create and refresh vehicle and inventory graphics for ads, web, and social
  • Provide basic multimedia support (video editing in Adobe Premiere, photography)
  • Prepare files correctly for both web and print, including batch exporting
  • Maintain clean, organized files and follow company folder structures for proofs, exports, and assets
  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring timelines, accuracy, and quality standards are met
  • Design and implement brochure-style landing pages using AI-assisted development tools. Advanced programming experience is not required, but candidates should be comfortable using AI coding tools to make basic front-end updates and page layouts

  • Unconditional dedication to excellence
  • Honesty and integrity in all decisions
  • Respecting the uniqueness of every individual
  • Encouraging you to make a difference
  • Championing your lifelong learning
  • Supporting you and your family
  • Giving back to your community
