About The Position

Sans is building the next great consumer hardware brand, focusing on products that promote healthier living at home. Starting with a leading air purifier and expanding to a countertop water purifier, Sans is a fast-paced, ambitious team that consistently outperforms larger competitors. Brand is crucial for Sans, defining its voice, values, and customer experience across all touchpoints. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for translating brand strategy into compelling and consistent storytelling across organic channels, post-purchase experiences, and physical touchpoints. This role reports to the Creative Director and collaborates with Brand, Creative, Product, Lifecycle, and eCommerce teams. The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller and systems thinker, capable of defining and executing brand voice and narrative.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in design
  • 4–7+ years of experience in brand or visual design roles
  • Deep expertise in Figma, including building and managing design systems and component libraries
  • Strong portfolio of email design work (lifecycle flows, campaigns, template systems)
  • Experience applying and evolving brand identities across digital and physical surfaces
  • Print design experience (packaging, inserts, editorial, or physical collateral) is strongly preferred
  • DTC, consumer, or startup experience preferred
  • Strong visual sensibility with a high bar for craft and brand cohesion
  • Systems thinker - builds scalable infrastructure, not just individual assets
  • Detail-oriented and organized, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Collaborative and cross-functional - works closely with Lifecycle, Brand, and Creative
  • Self-directed and adaptable in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Curious and evolving - always pushing the work and your own skills forward

Responsibilities

  • Lead the redesign of all existing lifecycle email flows to align with the new Sans brand system and continuously iterate on design and content.
  • Design weekly campaign emails with a focus on typography, hierarchy, pacing, and visual restraint.
  • Develop reusable, modular email templates for efficient, high-quality production.
  • Translate the Sans brand identity into a comprehensive Figma design system, including a component library, design tokens, typography, color systems, and iconography.
  • Document and maintain the Figma system for accessibility and usability by cross-functional teams.
  • Evolve the design system to accommodate new surfaces, campaigns, and product lines.
  • Apply the Sans visual identity consistently across new and existing platforms, identifying opportunities to strengthen the brand system.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director to advance the visual language, ensuring it remains fresh, cohesive, and distinctive.
  • Design primary and secondary product packaging, leaflets, and instructional manuals.
  • Ensure packaging and physical touchpoints are calm, intuitive, and thoughtfully designed with clarity and craft.
  • Partner with Lifecycle, eCommerce, Growth, and Brand teams to deliver effective and resonant designs.
  • Provide design direction and assets to empower the broader team to work efficiently while maintaining brand quality and cohesion.
