About The Position

FASTSIGNS is hiring a full-time Graphic Designer for a sign shop. The role creates and modifies graphics for printing, mounting, cutting, and application, while ensuring that designs, materials, and output settings meet customer needs and production requirements. The designer also maintains the customer logo library and converts graphic files. The position involves prioritizing and managing multiple jobs, working autonomously and under pressure, and producing high-volume, high-quality work. Requirements

1–2 years of graphic design experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
Ability to prioritize jobs, multitask, and work autonomously.
Ability to determine the best output method based on customer needs.
Ability to sit and view a computer screen for long periods (4 hours or more).
Ability to work under pressure while producing high-volume, high-quality work.

Responsibilities

Create computer-generated, full-color graphics and vinyl output for printing and mounting to substrates, or for weeding, cutting, and application.
Complete or modify designs using customer drawings, files, or customer-provided designs prepared for output.
Determine the size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy; select type style and size; and arrange layouts based on available space, aesthetics, and production requirements.
Inspect jobs for accuracy before sending them to output.
Ensure the correct material is used for each job and that output-device settings are accurate.
Maintain the customer logo library and convert graphic files.
