About The Position

AHC Hospitality, a leading hospitality management company based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to support its growing collection of hotels and restaurants. This entry level role is responsible for creating compelling print and digital marketing materials, supporting brand development initiatives, and executing creative solutions that maintain brand consistency across multiple hospitality concepts. The position works collaboratively with the marketing team to bring campaigns, promotions, and guest-facing experiences to life through thoughtful and engaging design. The ideal candidate is a creative and detail-oriented designer with a strong passion for visual storytelling and brand consistency. This individual should possess a solid understanding of layout, typography, design hierarchy, and how creative and copy work together to communicate effectively. The ability to build and deploy digital newsletters and marketing emails within email marketing platforms is important, along with an understanding of how to design for engagement, readability, and user experience across digital channels. All work should be executed at a high level with strong attention to detail, organization, and thoughtful creative rationale. The successful candidate is a collaborative team player who embraces constructive feedback, communicates professionally, and remains adaptable in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects, timelines, and brand voices. An understanding of both print production and digital asset preparation is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills, time management, the ability to multitask effectively, and the ability to work well with others under deadline-driven conditions are essential. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong personal accountability are critical to success in this role.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and related design platforms
  • Strong print and digital design portfolio with a consumer-focused approach and an understanding of brand consistency across multiple touch points
  • Strong attention to detail with a passion for polished, high-quality execution across all creative deliverables
  • Experience designing and building digital newsletters and email marketing campaigns using Campaign Monitor, or similar systems
  • Ability to write, refine, or adapt light marketing copy within layouts to ensure messaging aligns with the visual direction and intended audience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining organization and accuracy
  • Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to clearly communicate creative concepts, design rationale, and project updates in a professional and concise manner
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively alongside marketing managers, vendors, and operational stakeholders
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and applying direction while also contributing thoughtful creative ideas and solutions
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to continuously learn and grow within a collaborative creative environment
  • Basic understanding of social media content design and digital marketing best practices
  • Experience preparing files for both print production and digital distribution preferred
  • Comfortable presenting creative work and ideas to stakeholders in a professional setting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working within project management platforms such as Asana.
  • College graduate with a BA or BFA in Graphic Design or Graphic Communications.
  • Minimum of 2-years design experience working within a corporation or creative agency.
  • Must be a positive, self-motivated, independent creative thinker who is goal-driven, team motivated, and has experience seeing projects through from concept to production.
  • A portfolio of work must be presented at time of interview.

Nice To Haves

  • Skills in photography, video editing, motion graphics, illustration, website design, or related creative disciplines are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the Art Director, Marketing Managers, and other team members to create and execute effective visual solutions across both print and digital platforms.
  • Supporting the development of marketing materials, advertising campaigns, digital newsletters, email marketing communications, social media assets, promotional collateral, menu development, and brand-focused creative initiatives for a variety of hospitality brands and experiences.
  • Designing and building digital newsletters and email marketing campaigns using Campaign Monitor, or similar systems.
  • Writing, refining, or adapting light marketing copy within layouts to ensure messaging aligns with the visual direction and intended audience.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining organization and accuracy.
