About The Position

We are seeking a creative and skilled Graphic Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and creating layouts for various marketing materials, including websites, flyers, advertisements, posters, brochures, and signage. This role involves designing logos and branded merchandise, editing product and store images, and collaborating with creative teams to develop original content. The Graphic Designer will ensure brand consistency across all materials and adapt them into multiple languages. Maintaining workflow, meeting deadlines, and staying updated on design trends are crucial. The position also involves reporting social media feedback, sourcing photography, coordinating with external vendors, and supporting the store manager with marketing tasks. Requirements

  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree in visual arts with a specialization in graphic design, commercial art, graphic communications, or cartooning, or the completion of a college diploma program in graphic arts.

Nice To Haves

  • Training or experience in multimedia design from a post-secondary, college, or technical institution are an asset.
  • Adapt marketing materials into Multilingual (English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, etc.) versions.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and create layouts for website, weekly flyers, and promotional materials in the required language.
  • Create digital and print advertisements, posters, brochures, and signage using 88 Supermarket’s own Mascot, symbols, images, and text for weekly sales, monthly promotions, and special events, etc. while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Design logo and branded merchandise (office stationery, calendar, catalogues, etc.).
  • Edit and enhance product and store images for use in marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with creatives and writers to develop original advertising and social media content.
  • Prepare projects from concept to final production ensuring quality and brand consistency.
  • Adapt marketing materials into Multilingual (English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, etc.) versions.
  • Maintain workflow and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Stay updated on design trends, software, and competitor strategies.
  • Report the feedback and reviews from social media to Dept managers.
  • Source and coordinate photography and work with external vendors if needed.
  • Support the store manager with marketing and promotional tasks if needed.
