Graphic Designer / Production Specialist
About The Position
We are FASTSIGNS of Coeur d’Alene, and we are launching a brand-new, state-of-the-art center. We are looking for a Founding Graphic Designer who wants to be a "Maker"—someone who takes pride in the entire journey from a blank Adobe Illustrator artboard to a high-fidelity, finished physical product. This role is different because "fast" means optimized, not chaotic. We offer a calm, organized, and intentional design and production area guided by a veteran owner. You will be the master of our brand-new, FASTSIGNS-exclusive Epson printer fleet and Mutoh plotters, seeing your work move from screen to print to the real world. Our sales team sets realistic expectations, protecting your queue for quality work. You will receive fully-paid, one-week professional training in May at our HQ in Carrollton, TX, and the owners are invested in your success, providing the tools for you to do your best work.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience.
- Values precision, integrity, and the "Maker" spirit.
- Adobe Illustrator is your second language; understand paths, vectors, and how to prep files for physical output.
- Enjoys weeding vinyl, operating high-end printers, and ensuring every edge is perfect.
- Values a calm environment.
- Curious learner not afraid to ask for assistance.
- Takes meticulous notes to ensure a project is done right the first time.
- Finds joy in the "hands-on" part of the job.
Responsibilities
- Design digital creations and transform them into physical landmarks.
- Master the entire journey from a blank Adobe Illustrator artboard to a high-fidelity, finished physical product.
- Operate and master brand-new, FASTSIGNS-exclusive Epson printer fleet and Mutoh plotters.
- Weed vinyl.
- Apply graphics.
- Participate in morning huddles to stay ahead of deadlines.
- Take a client's concept and turn it into a finished, high-quality sign with minimal outside input.
