About The Position

Bowhead seeks a Graphic Designer/Photographer to support the Office of Corporate Communications at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). This role involves providing a wide range of creative design and photography services, ensuring all products meet high professional standards and adhere to specific government requirements.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the career field of graphic design and photography.
  • Must use Nikon Digital camera systems and Adobe Creative Suite / Creative Cloud software.
  • Must have detailed knowledge of the entire Adobe Creative Suite / Creative Cloud graphic design software package on a Windows platform.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level.
  • US Citizenship is a requirement for Security clearance at this location.

Responsibilities

  • Provide design and layout support, text processing, page mark-up, graphic scanning, large and small format printing, sign marking, engraving, mounting & laminating, and any other creative design support.
  • Enter services rendered into NGA’s online application via the Local Work Order Tool and make them easily accessible by the Government.
  • Stay abreast of new and potentially evolving software packages which may be useful for NGA in the future.
  • Review all products with the Graphic Design Lead Key Positions to ensure there are no grammatical, typographical or compositional errors.
  • Design products for printing on digital presses, which can differ from other design and layouts.
  • Provide high quality, professional digital photography to include both portrait and on-scene photography.
  • Conduct on-scene photography for accident investigations, building maintenance, events, award ceremonies, group photos, and photo-journalism.
  • Apply proper caption writing techniques for all photographs.
  • Load all photos into NGA OCC’s Darkroom with proper metadata tags and captions.
  • Remove all metadata from photographs before images are approved for public release.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
