About The Position

ANS is seeking a Graphic Designer - Marketing & Communications to join their marketing and communications team. The role involves bringing the ANS brand to life across digital, print, and social channels. The designer will work closely with the Senior Manager of Communications and Marketing, receiving creative direction and executing design work within an established brand system. This position is for an individual who can take direction, work within defined standards, and contribute to producing high-quality work. The role reports to the Senior Manager of Marketing & Communications and is part of a small, collaborative team. Responsibilities will include a mix of defined projects and incoming requests, with direction and priorities set by management. The designer is expected to execute tasks efficiently, ask pertinent questions, and help the team improve speed without compromising quality. There is potential for growth as the marketing function expands. The company utilizes technology, including AI tools, to enhance efficiency and output, and expects the designer to be curious about emerging tools, willing to incorporate them where valuable, and adhere to company policies regarding their use.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field; or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • A portfolio that shows range: digital, print, and brand-driven work
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and Figma
  • Comfort working in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Word
  • Understanding of how design supports communication – not just how things look, but how they work together
  • Ability to take direction and execute without needing constant check-ins, while knowing when to ask questions
  • 3-5 years of professional design experience

Nice To Haves

  • Light video editing or motion graphics experience (After Effects, Premiere)
  • Experience with and comfort in taking photography
  • Experience in a B2B, engineering, or professional services environment
  • Familiarity with intranet or internal communications design

Responsibilities

  • Design LinkedIn graphics and content that align with ANS brand standards and narrative direction
  • Assist in the production and upkeep of marketing collateral, including one-pagers and supporting materials for internal and external use
  • Support employee spotlight formatting and layout, ensuring visual consistency and alignment with brand voice
  • Create assets for our intranet, The Pulse, such as thumbnails, banners, and supporting visuals
  • Help maintain visual consistency across ANS materials and flag inconsistencies against established brand standards
  • Work within established design systems while identifying opportunities to refine and elevate them
  • Design or assist with conference and event collateral such as signage, print materials, and social graphics
  • Support the cleanup and visual enhancement of presentation decks
  • Assist with assembling and organizing assets for high-priority marketing initiatives
  • Assist with additional marketing and communications projects as the team’s needs evolve
