About The Position

We are seeking a talented and skilled Graphic Designer to join our fast-paced and highly collaborative Marketing team. Design portfolio is required (please ensure a link to your portolio is available on your resume or application). This is a full-time, non-exempt position with business hours Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; work outside of these days and hours occur occasionally in order to meet the needs of the business. This position is located onsite in Olympia, WA and reports directly to the Marketing Project Manager. Local travel will be required from time to time. Responsibilities herein represent typical elements and criteria considered necessary to perform the job successfully. Other duties may be assigned to meet emerging business needs.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in graphic design.
  • BS/BA in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or related field; substantially relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Advanced skills with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, and Figma.
  • Strong understanding of graphic design skills, including color theory, photo editing, composition, and typography.
  • Possess a strong portfolio of work showcasing a variety of print and digital projects.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects within established target dates.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take complex, technical information and translate into consumer-friendly messaging and visuals.
  • Ability to work and communicate in a diverse work environment.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with consumer goods is preferred.
  • Basic video production/editing and photography skills a plus.
  • Experience in the natural products industry a plus.
  • Experience with Asana or similar project management platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Create fresh designs as directed by Marketing Leadership in alignment with the brand style guide, organizational goals and within Dietary Supplement Health & Education Act (DSHEA) compliance.
  • Design print materials including marketing collateral pieces, brochures, sell sheets, sales support tools, advertisements, retail merchandising signage, and tradeshow displays.
  • Design digital assets including website graphics, presentations, and campaign assets for digital and social media platforms.
  • Create packaging artwork for new products and update files as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Product Development, and Purchasing, to align on design intent, development goals, compliance and ordering deadlines for collateral and packaging.
  • Organize and project manage a high-volume workload, meeting specific project goals to meet deadlines.
  • Gather information and materials from internal clients to complete tasks.
  • Implement and completes design projects by coordinating with respective teams to provide and/or upload final creative elements.
  • Manage file organization and naming in accordance with established standards.
  • Review and proof artwork for print and digital production.
  • Execute design projects with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Perform a variety of other duties as assigned.
