About The Position

Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union is seeking a service-minded Graphic Design Marketing Specialist I to create effective, compelling graphic designs for marketing campaigns and communications. The role develops design concepts from beginning to completion, ensuring balanced brand composition and delivery of assigned marketing materials on deadline. It collaborates with creatives and stakeholders to align graphics and marketing messages with campaign goals, target audiences, and the Credit Union brand. The specialist reviews designs for technical accuracy and regulatory and legal compliance, and manages print and digital production with vendors. This includes obtaining quotes, defining print specifications, preparing press-ready PDFs, maintaining quality control, and ensuring files are correctly formatted for their platforms. The role also coordinates with Marketing Specialists on distribution of event and community materials. It requires prioritizing multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment, communicating with stakeholders, following Credit Union policies and procedures, maintaining regular and predictable attendance, and representing the Credit Union professionally.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Digital Graphic Design, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or another related field, or an equivalent combination of education and previous experience.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of experience in a graphic design position.
Understanding of basic marketing principles for both print and digital.

Responsibilities

Create effective and compelling graphic designs for marketing campaigns, promotions, and Credit Union goal initiatives.
Develop designs for media placements, digital advertisements, in-branch materials, branded materials, direct mail, signage, email, video, blogs, online and mobile banking, websites, social media, statement inserts, and special events.
Respond to Marketing Help Desk requests from internal and external stakeholders.
Prioritize and complete multiple design assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Develop design concepts from beginning to completion, maintaining balanced brand composition and meeting deadlines.
Collaborate with creatives and stakeholders to produce cohesive materials aligned with marketing goals, target audiences, and the brand.
Support the marketing creative team and process through collaborative ideation and thoughtful discussion.
Communicate with stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet expectations and deadlines.
Ensure designs convey the intended message effectively to the target audience.
Review visual design elements for technical accuracy throughout the design and production process.
Remain compliant with regulatory and legal requirements.
Manage print and digital production with vendors, including obtaining quotes, defining print specifications, exporting press-ready PDFs, and maintaining quality control.
Ensure designs meet required specifications and are correctly formatted and exported for their media platforms.
Coordinate with Marketing Specialists to distribute event and community materials and meet delivery deadlines.
Follow Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulations.
Represent the Credit Union professionally in appearance, behavior, and performance.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance and work cooperatively with others.
Perform other duties as assigned.
