About The Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position for a Graphic Design Intern to serve as a member of the Marketing & Communications team. The intern will assist with a variety of graphic design tasks, including creating and executing design concepts for marketing campaigns, preparing artwork for print and digital communications, placing print orders, and conducting research on graphic design techniques. The role also involves assisting staff with office tasks such as deliveries, printing, and assembly of materials. This position is 100% remote and requires 8-12 hours of work per week. Only UND students are eligible for this position.

Requirements

• Must be a quick learner.
• Have excellent graphic design skills.
• Strong grasp of the English language.
• Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and/or Illustrator.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, as well as with a team.
• Graphic design major, graphic design minor, communication major or marketing major.
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check.
• In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
• This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute design concepts for marketing campaigns.
• Present design concepts to their supervisor and other marketing staff members.
• Design a wide variety of marketing materials, including posters, brochures, digital signage, print signage, web images, logos, etc.
• Prepare artwork for use in print and digital communications.
• Place print orders and ensure delivery from vendors.
• Conduct research on graphic design techniques and resources.
• Assist staff with various office tasks as needed (deliveries, printing, assembly of materials).
