About The Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position for UND students only. The intern will serve as a member of the Marketing & Communications team, assisting with a variety of graphic design tasks and other office duties.

Requirements

• Must be a quick learner.
• Have excellent graphic design skills.
• Strong grasp of the English language.
• Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and/or Illustrator.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, as well as with a team.
• Graphic design major, graphic design minor, communication major or marketing major.
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check.
• Verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

• Graphic Design/Marketing Portfolio (examples of your design work, including class, personal, or professional projects)

Responsibilities

• Create and execute design concepts for marketing campaigns.
• Present design concepts to their supervisor and other marketing staff members.
• Design a wide variety of marketing materials, including posters, brochures, digital signage, print signage, web images, logos, etc.
• Prepare artwork for use in print and digital communications.
• Place print orders and ensure delivery from vendors.
• Conduct research on graphic design techniques and resources.
• Assist staff with various office tasks as needed (deliveries, printing, assembly of materials).
